Building Muscle Without Lifting a Weight?

No I’m not revealing some secret muscle building formula that would not require lifting weights, sorry…

No, I’m going to talk about nutrition – hence the not lifting weights part.

In a nutshell, I’ve found the nutrition side of gaining muscle mass to be the MOST difficult aspect of the process. Between myself and what I see with the athletes at SST, I believe nutrition is the most significant factor in determining results.

You see, training is pretty simple (read: not easy), 3-4 days a week 30-60 minutes per workout (at least for my own programming). That equates to a time commitment of 3-4 hours per week.

Nutrition on the other hand is a 24/7 battle. Eating, cleaning, food prep, grocery shopping, meal planning for putting on muscle mass is a FAR GREATER time commitment. Especially being CONSISTENT with these things each day, every day; this consistency is by far the biggest struggle for me.

So analyzing your nutritional habits can make you aware of the adjustments you need to make in order to achieve results that you are happy with.
